An easier path to new ID for transgender persons
With little debate, the House of Representatives voted 126 to 18 Thursday night for legislation easing the way for transgender people to legally change their sex on birth certificates, drivers’ licenses and other forms of identification. The bill now goes to the Senate.
Gay rights group gives Connecticut companies high marks
The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest gay rights organization, included 14 Connecticut companies in its 2015 Corporate Equality Index, an annual report that assesses inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees in major companies and law firms.
Murphy’s new chief of staff has GOP ties
